This project, as part of the Ride DuPage program provides seniors and individuals with disabilities increased employment opportunities by providing them with transportation to jobs in and outside of their own town and at times that may extend beyond traditional work hours. Seven local governments sponsor the service: City of Naperville, Naperville Township, Lisle Township, Wheatland Township, Village of Glen Ellyn, City of Wheaton, and Milton Township.

The project initially calls for Shields Township to operate separately while the Fremont and Central Lake partners (Fremont Township, Libertyville Township, Villages of Libertyville and Mundelein) are combined. The service provides expanded dial-a-ride transportation in Lake County to seniors and individuals with disabilities residing in Central Lake County. This dial-a-ride service will operate weekdays in Antioch, Avon, Grant, and Lake Villa townships. A portion of the service will be a flexible route connecting three Metra stations on the NCS Line and Milwaukee District - North Line with residential areas to offer greater access to employment opportunities primarily for individuals with limited mobility and other transit dependent populations. The Ride DuPage to Work is a service of the Ride DuPage system designed to enable persons with disabilities greater opportunities to obtain and maintain employment through more affordable transportation. DuPage Transportation to Work, initially funded with the 2006 program, was implemented March 1, 2008. DuPage County became the grantee for the project in 2010. Prior to that Pace served as the project grantee.

The service provided 2,597 trips in December 2017. This project is complete. Funds have been fully expended.

Taxicab companies that purchase purpose-built wheelchair accessible taxi vehicles or convert standard vehicles to wheelchair accessible vehicles will be reimbursed for the costs associated with accessible vehicle elements. It is estimated that this project may contribute 133 accessible cabs to the taxi cab fleet now serving Chicago.
Current Activities
The City of Chicago executed the grant agreement on this project with the Federal Transit Administration on April 30, 2013. The City incorporated the project into the City budget in November. The City is working with the taxi companies to refine the process for how taxi companies may participate in the project.

Guides to rail stations and accessible routes for CTA customers who are blind or have a visual impairment will be produced by this project. The guides to CTA's rail stations will be produced in Braille, plain text, and audio files. The plain text and audio files will be available on CTA's website.
Current Activities
The CTA and the Lighthouse for the Blind have agreed on the common description for the stations. The first stations that are under review are on the Pink and Orange Lines.
